Bridges & Barriers Enters New Block of Sessions
Bridges & Barriers is about to enter its final block of sessions for this funding period. Partnerships in Block 3 were: St Saviours & Riverside at Govan Road Campus; St Patricks and Anderston at St Patricks; Avenue End and St Rose of Lima at Avenue End; and a second local session at Bellcraig Community Centre open to pupils from St Marys, Parkview, St Blanes and Caldercuilt PS'.
Bridges & Barriers were pleased to be working with St Rose of Lima who are Sport School of the Year, triple Glasgow Primary Sport School of the Year & double Sportscotland Gold Award holders. Avenue End and St Rose of Lima gave Bridges & Barriers a very warm welcome.
Bridges and Barriers are seeing a very positive link between SOS, Communities United and Bridges and Barriers projects. They are complimenting each other with the formal Divided City curricular school work; informal delivery in a formal setting in schools with Communities United; and the informal B&B After School sessions. All reinforce each other from the different sources and they all work towards the same common goal of awareness.
Finally, the B&B Festival is booked in for Thursday March 22nd at Super Soccer indoor football facility and they are currently confirming schools for attendance from the project.
