What is Action on Sectarianism?

YouthLink Scotland, the National Agency for Youth Work has set up the first independent public website designed to challenge sectarianism in Scotland, supported by the Scottish Government.

Accessible on computers, tablets and mobile phones, this website will act as a central gateway to information and resources tackle sectarianism in Scotland by providing tailored user access to four distinct target groups:

Children and Young people

Adults: parents, carers, community groups

AoS Network: teachers, youth workers, academics, policy officers, community activists

Iriss and CYCJ have introduced a new resource aimed at children and young people have been charged by the police.

Journey through Justice is an interactive online resource that will help children and young people understand the journey through the youth justice system, following being charged with an offence by the police. The name of the resource, as well as its look and content, was devised by young people from a number of settings, working closely with CYCJ and Iriss.

Journey through Justice is a development of Youth & Criminal Justice in Scotland: The Young Person’s Journey, which aims to simplify how the youth and criminal justice system works for under 18s in Scotland. This has received an update for 2017.

We are very keen to make young people, their families and supporters aware of this valuable resource. Journey through Justice postcards will be placed in police stations, social work waiting rooms, schools and other relevant places – please let us know if you would like us to send you copies for distribution in your workplace. We would be grateful for anything you can do bring this young people’s attention.

CYCJ will be adding to Journey through Justice as further resources become available. If you have any feedback or links you would like to add, please contact This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..
